The primary function is to provide expert support to build capacity within school instructional teams on research based strategies, develop strategies to solve complex problems, monitor and assess school performance data, and ensure adherence to District curriculum implementation.
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master’s Degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction or a closely related field plus a minimum of five (5) years of experience related to the area of assignment. Valid State of Tennessee teacher licensure certification required. An endorsement in the content area directly related to area of assignment, evidence of ongoing professional learning, and professional development facilitation and a minimum of two (2) years coaching experience.
Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master’s Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included
Physical Demands: Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular basis; and some dexterity in operating office equipment; must be able to use hands and fingers for sign language.
Unavoidable Hazards: The position is exposed to no unusual environmental hazards.
Sensory (ADA) Requirements: The position requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing and speaking abilities.
