During Summer Learning Academy serves as liaison between District staff and students or parents whose primary spoken language is one other language than English. Provides academic assistance to students in the English as a Second Language (ESL) program. Interprets for students, parents, and teachers.

Serves as primary contact for staff, students, parents and the public at the summer school site. Welcomes and assists everyone who enters the summer school site and directs them to the appropriate staff. Supports the summer school site by performing general office and routine clerical duties.

Supervises the day to day operations of the Summer Learning Academy to ensure quality instruction and the safety of the staff and students. Communicates behavior expectations and consequences of action to staff, students and parents. Administers discipline when necessary to correct disruptive behavior.
